Music for those who refuse to stay silent.
Your voice matters here.
*** I AM RE-RECORDING I MISS YOU… STAY TUNED…I WILL DROP THE SONG HERE. FIRST. HERE ARE THE LYRICS. THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH FOR LISTENING.
Standing in the aisle looking at the greeting cards
you and me, Mary Melcher and little floating hearts
floating up through the sky, the trees break them in two
when you open it up, it says “God I MIss You, I Miss You”
All the dreams we gathered up we both grew
on dream boards, sparkles and sticky glue
You just can't capture that from anyone, all the eyes knew
Waiting for an unguarded moment, to break through
I miss you
And how are you, beautiful girl?
Happy? Traveling the world?
crushing those memories into the rug
with all the heartaches and all the love
I miss you, I miss you
I know it's time my love to move on
We both know you did nothing wrong
May you always find your power and always see
oh the places you will go, to share our love story
I miss you, I miss you, I miss you
I wrote this song after a very long work week and back-to-back gigs. Somewhere in the exhaustion, I started thinking about what it might have been like for someone like Jesus Christ after a long week and weekend—carrying so much, giving so much—and whether he ever felt lonely or misunderstood too.
Rise up, use your voice, we stand together every human worldwide!
I wrote this song immediately after returning from a trip to Seattle. What can I say that isn't said, here, now, with my words that I write to you, the music that I write to circle around you, my words and music, my words of love, always, words of love from me to you, songs of love. Repeat. Words of love...
